My child has been on the waiting list some time, when will I be able to join?

Across the country, demand to join The Scouts is the highest it has been since the Second World War. With this in mind, it is not uncommon for Young People to be on a waiting list for a few years.

Whilst we're doing everything we can to offer as many spaces to as many young people as possible, we are reliant on amazing volunteers to run our sections. Our centralised waiting list system helps us get spaces out to everyone quicker, by offering spaces at any of our groups across Borehamwood, Elstree, Aldenham, Radlett and Shenley.

We kindly ask that you avoid opening a ticket chasing spaces in scouts, as this can create large volumes of work for our volunteer admin team. Please don't worry, we'll be in touch as soon as a space becomes available, and we'll write out to you every year to check you're still waiting to join.
